POEM writes a new chapter in the year of Ox with the brand new Pre-Fall 2021 Collection. The creation highlights a much more cunning approach to femininity and femme fatale essence in order to forge a new beacon of beauty in this new normal world, transforming POEM ladies into black roses that bloom amidst the current pandemic. Following the successful launch in China, the house endeavors to deliver the new DNA of glamour to Chinese ladies, painting them as stars that are free to shine in their own rights.
POEM’s Pre-Fall 2021 was designed with the idea to support the wearer’s feminine touch while enhancing her sensual physique. With such concept in mind, POEM was inspired to transform relatable elements in our everyday lives, such as sportswear, into glamorous attires that deliver a mysterious yet sexy femme fatale sensation. The inspirations are also expressed through the adaptation of lingerie details such as lace and bustier to craft an eye-catching silhouette and structure.
“The Rose of Halfeti” takes the inspiration from the off-duty looks of the world’s renowned Queen of Burlesque Dita Von Teese, whose vintage style has become one of her most recognizable signatures. “I love Dita. She embraces her individualism and uses it to empower herself, turning her style into something very unique. She has become POEM’s sensual muse and I love the idea that her signature looks hang between a dangerously gorgeous femme-fatale and old hollywood glamour, “ Chavanon Caisiri - the house’s creative director.
The collection also features the major use of velvet, granting luxurious flair and confidence. When combined with power-mesh linings, it creates garments that look and feel great in every movement. Highlighted items include different variations of sheath dress in darker colors such as wine, navy, dark green and black.
